Cross Country hosts home invite

The University of Kearney, Iowa Western, and the York men’s team all participated in HC’s Home Invitational. Kearney won both the men’s and the women’s race. Jessica Cunningham placed sixth overall to lead the HC girl’s team and Dillon Dexter led the men’s team.

HC’s Dostal Named NAIA Offensive Player-of-the-Week

(Kansas City, Missouri) –  John Dostal of Hastings (Neb.) has been tabbed National Football Offensive Player of the Week.  He was chosen for his performance during the week of Sept. 24 – 30 and was selecNews Phototed out of a poll of conference and independent award winners.

Dostal, a senior quarterback from Omaha, Neb., passed for a career-high 314 yards and four touchdowns in Hastings’ 40-30 victory over then-No. 22 Dakota Wesleyan (S.D.) on Sept. 29. He completed 19-of-32 passes to eight different receivers and had no interceptions. Additionally, Dostal rushed for 80 yards on 10 attempts en route to 394 yards of total offense – 75.3 percent of the Broncos total offensive output.

Dostal boasts a top 10 national ranking in total offensive yards per game (323.0), passing yards per game (270.3) and pass efficiency (158.9).
Hastings moved into the NAIA Top-25 today at #21.  The last time the Broncos were inside the NAIA football poll was October of 2010.

HC Football Moves to 4-0

Hastings College defeated the #22 Dakota Wesleyan Tigers 40-30, making their record now 4-0. Keenan Ballage was among the top players of that game for Hastings College who ran for 90 yards. Hastings College quarterback, John Dostal, went 19 for 32, threw for 314 yards, and four touchdowns. Dostal also had 10 rushes for 80 yards. Continue reading ‘HC Football Moves to 4-0’

Bronco Volleyball Earns National Honors

After a week of going 5-0, the Bronco volleyball team is now ranked No. 9. The two big games of the week were against then-No. 11 Doane College and then-No. 12 Oklahoma Baptist University.
